http://kuler.adobe.com/ is a great user generated color scheme site. Users can submit color schemes, and other users decide just how good it is. This is good news for someone having a bit of trouble figuring out what colors they should use for a website, logo, flyer, etc.
I’m of the belief that colors can make or break a great design. Kuler.adobe won’t pick the colors that will work best for every situation, but it does make for a good starting point.
Debut Designs has recently struggled to decide how, where and to whom we should be offering our services. Just recently, we have made the decision to go beyond focusing solely on the Realtor market but instead offer our graphic design, web design and social media consulting services to a multitude of different industries.
The experiences that our team possess and the skills that we have were limited by offering our services in only one market. Although we are very excited to be a part of the aggressive initiative that Realtors have taken in the last few years in regards to social media and web marketing, we see great value in spreading this same enthusiasm to other industries. It is our hope to remain involved in the real estate industry and continue to offer our services to real estate professionals but at the same time expand our horizons and begin working with other industry professionals.
It is for this reason that you will now see a more general approach taken in regards to our website content and the services we provide. As a Realtor and now any individual looking for web and graphic design services, we are happy to provide you with top-notch and customized service.
One of the number one suggestions Realtors get from business professionals and other Realtors is to “get out there”. Visibility of your brand and the services you provide is true for not only Realtors but any business. Being in the public eye through community events, advertisments, trade shows, networking events etc. is important. The more you can do and the more people you can engage the better.
Now, as we all already know, there are a ton of people on the internet. So, if your goal is to “get out there” and have your brand seen by as many people as possible, it would make perfect sense to “get out there” on the web! There are so many ways to meet and engage people on the internet and it goes way beyond and old and boring static webpage. Don’t hestiate to give it all a try. Twitter and Facebook are quite possibly some of the easiest tools to use to promote yourself and ultimately your brand. Most importantly, they are free to start using! You need to find what works for you and what you are going to be commited to using. The best thing to do is start! Learn how to use these tools by simply using them. Learn from your mistakes as you begin and soon you will be a social media/marketing pro!
Don’t continue to hope people are seeing your static website. Engage your current and future customers not only where they are in town but also where they are on the web. The relationships you build on the internet are just as powerful as those you build in-person.
